General Conditions

TWENTYNINE Surf Shop cannot assess the surfing level of its clients and cannot be held responsible, along with its local partners, in case of injury, accident, or death while surfing with rented equipment. Each person surfs at their own risk, aware of their skill level and the potential risks related to currents, tides, weather, fauna, and flora of the aquatic environment in Brittany. TWENTYNINE also cannot be held responsible, for any reason, in the event of a dispute arising from damage, loss, or theft of surfing equipment. In the case of renting equipment (board, wetsuit, etc.) without pre-booking a lesson or course, the client implicitly acknowledges having the sufficient technical skills to use the rented equipment alone. From the moment the client takes possession of the equipment, they surf at their own risk regarding third parties and the equipment entrusted to them. In no case shall TWENTYNINE Surf Shop be held liable and will not engage its professional civil liability. TWENTYNINE draws the attention of its clients to the obligation to be properly insured with civil liability and foreign insurance for the practice of surfing. No refund will be made for reasons related to poor surfing conditions – or none at all – or unfavorable weather. We reserve the right to close the rental if we deem the conditions too dangerous.

Safety & Deposit

The practice of surfing is free and open to all. However, it is important to:

• Respect the zoning of the beaches
• Use equipment suitable for your level of practice and in good condition
• Never surf during a thunderstorm
• Do not overestimate your abilities and start learning to surf on spots where you can touch the bottom.
• Respect the rules of priority and conviviality to avoid collisions
• Assist people in difficulty
• Be aware of local regulations (municipal decrees).
• For any equipment rental, an information sheet will be given to you to fill out, and an ID and/or deposit check will be requested depending on the equipment borrowed.
• In case of damage:
• A star, a light scratch, or an abnormal dent (rail, nose, tail…): 15 €
• If the foam core of the board takes on water, infiltration less than 3cm: 30 €
• Infiltration greater than 5 cm, fin hit, or encounter with another board: 90 €
• Torn or broken fin: 11 € (the fin)
• Torn fin plug: 30 € (per plug)
